31k-Mile 1984 RX-7 GS: Mazda Gem of the Day

Here’s another 1984 RX-7 that makes our Mazda Gem of the Day. This time, though, it’s a one-owner GS model with just over 31k miles.

This low-mileage FB RX-7 is currently for sale at a Mazda dealer in Florida, the state where the car was reported as purchased in September of 1984.

The car was later driven up north out of state, before returning to the Sunshine State in 2014, when the following service was performed:

• Oil and filter changed Drive belts checked
• Brake wheel cylinder(s) replaced
• Front brake pads replaced
• Front wheel bearing(s)/hub(s) replaced
• Drive belt(s) replaced

The Carfax report states it’s a one-owner car, with a damage report issued in 1991.

The exterior finish appears to be original, with the slightly faded red paint wearing dual black pinstripes.

The grey cloth interior shows little signs of wear and includes a removable sunroof with an upholstered underside.

In this iteration, Mazda’s 12A Wankel rotary engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
